A Joint Venture formed by UTE-DRAGADOS ASCAN has been awarded the Civil Works of the buildings of the Data Processing Center (DPC\'s) in Cantabria for Santander Global Facilities, SAU, to be carried out in the Strategic Area Medio Cudeyo and Marina de Cudeyo.
The joint venture formed by Dragados and Ascan will build two nearly identical buildings with a floor area per building of approximately 18,000 square meters, divided into four floors: Two below ground (basement 1 and 2) and two above ground level (ground and mezzanine), . The chapters to develop in accordance with the terms of the award are:
• Foundation and structure (concrete or metal).
• Network building land, land network of IT facilities and internal lightning protection.
• Drainage.
• Masonry and partitions.
• Carpentry, ironwork and glass.
• Construction of the building environment.
• Sanitation facilities.
The Data Processing Centre to build is a leading global infrastructure defined by its high security to be designed to accommodate information from all over the Santander Group to cover the various services it offers. Thus, Cantabria is the only autonomous region, in addition to Madrid, having an infrastructure of this kind of Banco Santander.
The civil work has been allotted to the UTE-DRAGADOS ASCAN amounting to 23.955 million euros (23.955 million E.)
